The Kingdom of Vespara
Vespara is a barren land; a harsh desert dominates all of modern-day Vespara, pock-marked with small towns and sand-blasted fortresses. Vespara’s unforgiving land yields little for the inhabitants, and as such their numbers are limited. However, though few, the people of Vespara have been toughened by their rough living conditions, and are known to be just as unyielding as the land they call their home. And, as rumor would have it, the vast desert of Vespara is also home to the mythic Sand Dragon, a huge beast around which ghastly stories are centered. Though, of course, these are just silly rumors and stories . . .
The massive structure of Higuera acts as the capitol for the Vesparians, and, surrounded by hundreds of miles of sand in all directions and guarded by the best of the Vesparian military, it’s towering walls would deter even the mightiest of armies. Because of the land’s limited resources, the Vesparian economy relies almost solely upon trade, a risky but often rewarding venture for merchants tough enough to brave the Vesparian desert in the hopes of securing some rare adamantium, which can be found deep beneath the sands of Vespara. Diplomatically, Vespara has always gone out of it’s way to appear benign for it’s neighbors, though they will not hesitate to threaten violence in order to secure the best deal possible for the Vesparian peoples.
Vespara currently has no allies.
Vespara has no enemies, though may still be bitter after our defeat in the war with New Osporin.
Vespara dutifully agrees to the rules of war.
Current News: After a grueling four year war with the kingdom of New Osporin, Vespara finally succumbed to the armies of New Osporin. They were able to use their advanced medical techniques to heal many of their wounded, and the armies of Vespara were outnumbered and defeated outside of Higuera. Vespara has payed war repirations of 2,815 gold to New Osporin.
Vespara is now a vassal to the generous peoples of Morytania, who will protect us until our kingdom is whole again. We are eternally grateful to them for their kindness and understanding.
