Getting Started
Creating Your Kingdom:
Founding a country has never been easier! Once you have 350 gold racked up, you’re ready to begin! Simply make a topic, named for your kingdom, and within put all the relevant information pertaining to your new kingdom, such as: background info., allies, enemies, current wars, and trading partners. Also, be sure to put whether or not you agree to the rules of war. Viola! How does it feel to be the leader of a nation? What’s next, you say? Why, all that’s left is for you to enjoy yourself. Mingle with the other kingdoms, strike up some negotiations in Diplomacy, or attack someone in War. It’s all up to you!
For more information, see the Kingdom Guide.
Beginning Diplomacy:
Diplomacy is the way kingdoms interact with each other. Here you can make - or break - alliances, give trade rights, declare war, talk politics, or handle more . . . clandestine affairs. To initiate diplomacy, first you must make a negotiation topic. A negotiation topic is a topic created for a diplomatic discussion between two countries. The topic title should contain both countries’ names and the word negotiation. From there, diplomatic discussion ensues. If a transaction is agreed upon, simply make a new topic in the transaction board, once again, containing both countries names and the transaction type. Once the topic is made and the transaction agreed upon by both countries, an administrator or moderator will complete the transaction. See the Diplomacy Guide for more details.
Baby’s First War
So, now you think you’re ready to conquer, eh? Well, go for it, I say! In order to fight in a war, you must first agree to the rules of war, which can be found in the War Guide. Before you make a new topic in the War board, you must declare war in the Diplomacy board. But, you can only declare war on a country of the same rank category. All ranks are listed at the end of this guide. Refer to the Diplomacy guide for more information on declaring war. Once war has been declared, a topic may be made on the war board, the title of which must include the names of both countries. Once both countries are present, attacks may begin. Refer to the War Guide for more information on attacking. After each attack, the next attacker must give his current HP. Refer to the War Guide for more information on HP. If desired, the participants may use up to three attack bonuses per war. To use a bonus, simply put a number, in yellow, below the attack itself. This bonus must be calculated manually by the recipient. The cost to use a bonus is the percentage added times twenty. If an error occurs during the attack process, please make no effort to edit or delete the post. Doing so may result in a ban from the RPG. You could also use a health bonus! Health bonuses are handled exactly the same as attack bonuses, in that they are added after the attack, cost twenty times the amount, and can range from one to one hundred. But there are three key differences. Chief among them is the fact that health bonuses add to your health, not take the enemy’s away. Also, health bonuses should be listed in green, not yellow. And lastly, only one health bonus is permitted per country per war. The health bonuses must be calculated manually and should be added after the post in which the bonus appears, not during the posting process. The war ends when one kingdom’s HP reaches zero. Afterwards, both countries may discuss the terms of surrender in the Diplomacy board. The victor will decide the terms, though he or she may not take more than ¾ of the loser’s gold.
So now, my friends, go forth, and enjoy the new RPG!
