Kingdoms
Building Your Empire:
Have you ever wanted to be the ruler of your very own empire? Would you rule with an iron fist and conquer your enemies without mercy or regret, or would you be kind, gentle, and fair to your people, building up your alliances with friendly nations to rid the world of evil? Choose your path wisely, for your ruthless enemies will snap up any chance to cut you down. So mark your path, and get ready to embark on your journey . . .
Getting Started:
Requirements: 350 Gold
The first thing you, as an enterprising young leader-to-be, must do to leave your mark on the world is to create a name for your country. Be creative! No one wants to be allied to “Bob‘s Place.” And, please, for our sake as well as your own, refrain from using obscene/offensive names. Now, do you have a suitable name in mind? Are you really going to go with that one? Alright . . .
The second step is to create a new topic for your young kingdom, using your kingdom name as the topic title. This topic will be the main hub of your empire. Here you can specify your nation‘s background information, as well as whether or not you agree to the Rules of War, your country’s status, current wars, allies and enemies (more on this in Diplomacy), and other information. Try to be creative, too. Instead of this:
Dillon-Town
Background: Dillon-Town is a cool place with lots of armies. We are nice to people and stuff.
Dillon-Town agrees to the rules of war.
Dillon-Town is allied with Higeura and Nuvisil
Dillon-Town is at war with Vespara.
Dillon-Town lost the war with Maplestry.
Try this:
Dillonston
Dillonston is a small, peaceful country, known for it’s fairness towards it’s people and its generosity towards other nations. It was founded in 1264 by Archduke Ferdinand, and has prospered ever since. Though small and pleasant, the Dillonston army is relatively powerful and has been noted for it’s bravery and sense of duty. Dillonston follows the Rules of War diligently and honorably, and expects others to do the same.
Dillonston is currently allied to the noble kingdoms of Higuera and Nuvisil.
Dillonston is at war with the evil Vespara.
Although they fought bravely, Dillonston’s forces were overwhelmed at the Battle of the Hillock by the armies of Maplestry, and were forced to surrender. Dillonston has agreed to pay the 5,000 gold reparations in exchange for retaining independence.
Now, isn’t that better? Remember, try to branch out a bit; make it interesting. Your kingdom can be whatever you want it to be! Once you have your topic set up, go ahead and post it with the others. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the administrator or your local moderators.
What Now? Well, you can start by checking out the other kingdoms. Get to know the other members, ask them questions about their country, and just enjoy yourself. But, please, no rude comments towards the other political leaders. Once you think you are ready to move on to the next stage, head on over to the Diplomacy and War boards to interact with your neighbors. And remember: Have fun!
