I got the red ring 3 times.... and had to get a new Console, 3 times, losing hundreds of Oblivion hours each. It... utterly *****. That's why I got a fan (one that attaches to the back of your Xbox 360), I got the Power Unti in a good, vetilated area, and a memory card.

Are you using the intercooler? Microsoft Customer Support personally told me not to use those they said to put a fan by your system...lol

The intercoolers are knows to cause the ring of death because they drain your power from your console to power the fan.

Really? Hmmm... one of my good frineds suggested it, and his XBox 360 has been running good for 2 years now, as he has it as well. mine hasn't had any porblems recently either.

Mmm, I guess it depends on how you treat it and if you don't get a defective one. My friend's Xbox 360 shattered his disk when he played it.

It's too bad that the console with the best games is the most faulty one.

Lol, I have never had any problems with my PS2 and then I get the next gen system and its having troubles... I fortunately haven't had to ship it to microsoft but I have had some trouble with my fan and system overheating and reading disks in the past.
